Dreamcatchers

The goal of this illustrative-style of surrealism is to create a dreamlike state as the viewer continues to look deeper. There are things the viewer will see immediately; there are things that can only be seen up-close.

In some Native American cultures, a dreamcatcher is given to someone to filter dreams... some stay, while others would fall through the web.

From a "web" of intersecting lines based on the "Golden Rectangle", each piece contains objects and symbols that are positioned to draw the eye in many directions; as in REM sleep.

The pieces are less about how I interpret them, but what the person viewing it sees.
